Time: Monday 2pm Weather: Sunny and Bright Temperature: Warm
She had just finished lunch when she walked into her classroom. She had to explain to the class when magical transportation was discovered. That would be fun! Would it? The class was empty. Dawn placed a few books from her drawer onto the table ready for the class. She sat down and sighed. The Sun, creates the perfect weather... she thought. She smiled. She enoyed the warmth. She scanned the back of the room and looked at the various artifacts and bookshelfs. She decided to go to the back and read a book to pass the time as she awaited her class.

Dakota stepped out of the Magizoology classroom glad to get out of there. Squinting at the sun as she stepped out, she put her hands over her eyes as she walked. She enjoyed the warm weather as she walked knowing that her next class was indoors. Sighing as she reached the entrance doors, she opened them and started to make her way toward the third floor. Her stomach growled as she passed the Main Hall as if telling her she should ate more at twelve. She tried to forget her hunger as she climbed the stairs. She adjusted her bag on her shoulder before she walked into the classroom.
Now, if she could say what the most boring class is, she would say magical history. Despite that, she did look rather happy as she walked into classroom. There were two reason for that. One: She had no idea...if that made any sense. Two: Dakota didn't see the teacher when she walked in. She smiled to herself as she walked into the classroom more. She looked around at the books, the pictures and... "Oh." Dakota said jumping slightly. The teacher was in the back of the room practically hidden. She smiled at her then quickly took a seat in the front row.

"Oh." Dawn's attention was shifted away from the book. "Oh, hello Dakota. How is your day going?" she smiled as she put the book back in it's place. She made her way to the front of the class. "Nice to see you smile Dakota, remember a smile a day, keeps the... umm..." Dawn didn't know the rest of the saying. "Oh, but you know what I mean."

With her back turned to the teacher, Dakota was scowling, but as soon as the teacher faced her, she immediately put on a smile. If the smile looked fake or not, she didn't care, the teacher was lucky she was giving her a smile. Sighing slightly, she looked up at the teacher. "My day is wonderful." Dakota said. She didn't bother to ask the teacher how her day was going simply because she didn't care. When the teacher tried to say the saying, she smiled even more. This time it was a real smile, though. She wasn't smiling because she thought it was funny, she was smiling at how stupid the teacher was. Wishing she took a seat in the back, she sighed again.
Dakota let her focus go on the door as if watching it would make a person come in any sooner. When someone came in, she would probably hug them, kiss them on the cheek possibly. She tapped her fingers on the desk as she kept her eyes on the door. She knew she really wouldn't hug someone when they came in. That would give the person the wrong impression.

"Glad that your day was good" she sat at her desk and then opened her drawer. There was a banana in the drawer. Have the drawer or not.... she thought. She then realized how quiet the class was. She tried to break the ice.
"Well if you wondering how my day was well...." the teacher then started droaning on about her day. Like you would think a Magical History would.

Not squandering any time between classes, Emma hastily managed her way back to the student dorms after Magizoology to switch out books. As much as she disliked having to add a stop between most students' jaunt straight from one class to another, Emma also disliked having to carry any unnecessary weight in her bag. The dugbogs had been interesting after all, but she hadn't had to tear herself away from them, giving her enough time.
After grabbing her books and taking a quick look in the mirror, Emma managed her way through the castle to the Magical History class. While she wasn't quite fond of Magizoology, she preferred it to Magical History. The teacher was eerily creepy, with an almost inhuman smile perpetually pasted upon her plastic cheeks. They had to be plastic to withstain such continual strain, and although Emma generally liked all her teachers, she wasn't quite sure about Professor Binns. Something just wasn't right.
As Emma reached the classroom, Emma almost prayed she came just before the class started. Professor Binns also loved to chat, ignoring the usual barrier that stood between students and professors. They were all the best of friends to Professor Binns, and Emma didn't have the heart to tell her otherwise. Unfortunately it seemed as if Emma were extra early rather than just on time. Only Dakota was seated before the professor, and Emma pitied her before realizing that she would also have no buffer for the teacher. While she wasn't the best of friends with Dakota, Emma took the seat right beside her, setting down her bag as she gave Dakota a warm smile.
"Good afternoon, Professor," Emma said warmly, keeping her voice down and quick. Immediately ignoring any reaction that could be possible, Emma turned her full attention toward Dakota. "Hi Dakota, wasn't Magizoology a drag today?" she started cheerily, trying to start an in-depth conversation that would be hard to interrupt. She could only imagine what Dakota had gone through before Emma showed up.

"Well anyway.." she took out her wand and flicked it. Two giant dusty books slammed on the table infront of the girls. Dawn put her wand away and walked over to the table. She blew the dust off the books directly in Emma's face.
"Oh! sorry... Here's some reading material for you while we wait for the others." she then smiled slighty. She wanted to smile but not enough to show that she didn't care about blowing dust in Emma's face.
The Books were green and red. The green one had a slight ripe down the spine. you could tell they were old. There was gold writing on the cover saying.
The title nearly didn't fit on the cover and 'vered' of discovered was on the back of the book.
"Enjoy" she smiled.

Dakota heard footsteps over the teachers annoying talking. A hint of hope was left in her as the footsteps got closer. Emma Vale walked into the classroom. She felt like she just won a million dollars. For moment she did actually consider hugging the girl, but her previous thoughts on that idea came back. She never had been so happy to see someone. Her least favorite teacher was Miss Kimball, but she was starting to change her mind with this mental one that thought she actually cared about her life. Smiling at Emma, she mouthed the words 'thank you' to her referring to saving her from the teachers boring talk.
Just when Dakota was about to answer Emma's question, a loud bang occurred in front of her. Jumping slightly, she looked down at the book that looked like it would weigh more than her. Her mouth dropped slightly when dust was blown in to the girl's face. She closed her mouth and took a better look at the book."1,000 types of Magical Transportation and when they were disco-" Dakota paused as she managed to flip the book over, "-vered. Well, aren't we lucky." She sighed heavily and gave a very fake smile to the teacher.

"Extremely! You never know maybe Merlin used the book himslef." Obviously completely impossible but you never know. Dawn always tried her best to make the lessons more interesting for the children. There were more 'interesting' teachers than her but she did her best. Taking her attention back to Emma she said
"Oh let me get you a towel or umm something..." she rushed out the room in search of a towel.

If there was a single class that Braxton despised above all others, it was Magical History. In his loathing of all things magical, it was in one of the classes that involved the least actual magic where he was most offended, because in History the act and idea of being magical was praised. It summed up everything which was sophomoric and trivial to him. He typically passed the class with his head down, probing a desire to vomit. (It was a separate and commonplace desire, unlike the new desire to vomit which attended the recent pain in his stomach)
As he was approaching the class, creeping like snail unwillingly to school, Miss Binns ran out the door the other way. So, things were looking up. Braxton entered the room, saw its two members, and couldn’t figure it out. “Ok. What did you do to get her out of the room? Is there a codeword or something that makes her do that?” It was one of the boy’s worst failing that he associated the professor with the subject he scorned most. The truth of the matter was that she’d been as good to him, when he didn’t deserve it, as anybody else in the school.

As Dakota mouthed a 'thank-you,' Emma merely gave her a warm smile in return. She had known before what it was like to be stuck in the room with Professor Binns. Sure the woman was nice, but there was just an underlying quality of creepiness that Emma just couldn't shake off. Unfortunately their attempted conversation was interrupted by the loud appearance of two huge books. Staring down upon the oversized flower presser, Emma looked up, only to see Professor Binns standing over her, blowing the dust off the book.
In a haze of age-old dust, Emma erupted into a coughing fit while her eyes winced shut in hopes of keeping out the plague of dust. In but a moment her coughs turned to sneezes, a series of threes in which Emma couldn't even excuse herself but to sneeze again.
"Oh let me get you a towel or umm something..."
Nodding her gratitude for the offer, Emma merely closed her eyes once more, not even chancing it once the dust cloud settled. She was certain she was covered in the filth, especially at the offer of a towel, not just a kleenex or handkerchief. Blinking twice, Emma sniffled deep, sneezing twice more at the new dust. She was neither dainty nor clean, and Emma didn't even want to think of what she must look like covered in dust and dripping with body fluids. Recovered enough to actually think, Emma reached for wand, using a simple cleaning spell to clean herself up. There, that was...better.
"something that makes her do that?”
As her world became less boggy and dustful, Emma became aware of Braxton's entrance. She could have groaned aloud at the awkward timing of his entrance, he just had to see her then, not when she was clean and proper. Well, she was clean then, but her nostrils could still feel a bit of dust residue clinging within. She would just have to be careful when opening the book.
"You would be sneezing too if a decade's worth of dust was suddenly thrown into your face," Emma retorted, her temper more sensitive from her recent scene. At least it wasn't Zeek, although he would have had more pity for her. Glancing at the cover of the book, Emma read the title only to have her hopes for the classroom go racing into the nearest trash can. Transportation? Of course they had to be studying one of the more mundane aspects of history.

Dawn had rushed all the way to her cottage and got one of the towels her and her husband used on the beach. It had a few granials of sand but not too many. After arriving back Dawn saw Emma using a spell to clean herself up.
"Now, why didn't I think of that!" Dawn said in a confusion. She scratched the top of her head then put the towel on the chair behind her desk. After a few muinets Dawn noticed the new arrival.
"Oh! Mr Ward, I didn't see you there. Please take a seat there." she waved her hand and a seat in the front row on the other side the girls were sat openned up. The vacancy in the chair was obvious.
"Would you like a book too?"

“What do I care if you sneeze?” His forehead scrunched in consternation for a moment, then it all fell away. “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before, anyway.” Braxton checked himself. He had to be careful around Vale. There was some history between them, the kind that involved a relationship, and while usually he didn’t mind taking a roll through that briar patch, this year was different-he was moving on, and fast. He cut off his gaze and drifted towards the seats.
Miss Binns directed him to a set in the front. Coincidentally Ludwig and Vale were in front. The boy pretended to miss the professor’s gesture and crossed the class to sit in the absolute furthest possible seat from everyone, in a corner in the back. “That’s alright, eh, Miss Binns. I already got a book.” He brushed off the request, but didn’t produce a book. Braxton only stared at the wall with his head turned away from the three women assembled in the room.

"Very well Braxton." Dawn then turned around to head back to her desk. She noticed the clock.
"Well, It looks like everyone else is going to late..." Dawn sighed. "Shame..."
She had reached her table and turned to face her three student class.
"Shall we start?"

Tori entered the classroom just as the professor decided it was time to start. She thought that the teacher was pretty stupid if she was going to start when half of her students weren't even there. Noticing the two books in front of the two girls, she hoped she wasn't going to get one also. She completely ignored the teachers existence, and continued to walk past her. She smiled at everyone in the room, and then took a seat in the back corner on the opposite side of the room as Braxton. She looked around, completely uninterested in what the teacher was going to teach. She thought that magical history had no point. No one really cared about the history. It wasn't like if a death eater came up to her and was about to attack her she could start reciting the history of death eaters to save her skin. Therefore, she hated this class.
Tori took out a piece of paper, and started draw hearts all over the paper. She would learn more from that paper than she would in the class. Looking up she was surprised that there were only four students in the class. No wait, she wasn't surprised. She figured that most people were dreading this class, and either still in their common room or walking very slowly down the hall. She wished that she had done the same. She finally looked at the teacher to see what she was doing. She wished she could wipe the corny smile of the professors face. It was clear that Tori didn't want to be here. Alchemy would be a much better class to be in.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Zeek stared down at the bit of paper he held in front of him showing his scheduled classes. He was just reaching the landing of the third floor as he groaned mentally, stuffing the piece of paper into his pocket. Zeek never really hated any classes except Magical History, and it wasn't the subject to blame. Something about the teacher just riled up a ball of annoyance deep in his gut. He supposed though, that he'd have to just deal with it for the short span of time until they changed over to their next class.
Making his way along to the classroom door, Zeek let out a deep sigh, pushing it open and stepping in only to see that not everyone was there just yet. There still seemed to be time, though as long as some certain people had yet to come, he wasn't about to complain.
It seemed that he hadn't come in during any conversations at that point in time either, though as he looked to the board in the front, it didn't have the syllabus written on it or any other sign of the teacher exercising a structured environment. At times, he really wondered how Binns would have faired if the Dean chose to sit in on one of her classes by surprise.
Shrugging off the mere thoughts, Zeek trudged over to the table in front of Tori. He didn't want to be in the front, nor anywhere near Binns, and since the furthest seats from her were both taken, he did the best he could manage. Setting his bag down on the floor, he sat down in his seat and got slightly comfortably, sitting back against the chair and folding his arms, looking out one of the windows.

ooc: does anyone like the teacher.. lol ic: Noticing the entrance of two other students. She sighed and noted there names on a piece of parchment. "I'd like to see you two at the end of the lesson." This was mostly so Dawn could explain how tardiness wasn't tolerated and then maybe repeat herself a couple times. She would probably say sorry to them at the end for being oh so 'mean'. Dawn then began to think. Why is everyone sitting at the back... Oh! i knowDawn breathed in then out and raised her hands. As she did this the middle 3 rows of chairs and tables rose into the air. She then slowly moved her hands to the side causing them all to move across everyones heads and staking themselves as neatly as Dawn could manage on the side of the classroom. Then for one last time Dawn put out her hands then pulled them toward her which then caused the 2 back rows to move forward. "There... No the purpose of this class shall be to discuss and recognize Magical Transportation and When they were discovered. Please wait one moment." Dawn walked over to the fireplace in the back of the room. The back of the room was hidden by bookshelves and was extremely dusty. The students could shout and Dawn wouldn't hear. She had gone back there to get a small pile of floo powder from the fireplace.

"I'd like to see you two at the end of the lesson."
Tori groaned at this statement. If she wanted to see Zeek, and herself then the Professor was going to see half of the class for they were all late too. She really didn't think when she walked in was considered late, and she would point that out to the teacher at the end of the lesson. Or maybe she would just walk right out. Either one sounded good to her. "Oh great, more time to spend with my favorite teacher." Tori said only loud enough for Zeek to hear. As soon as she finished her sentence, her chair suddenly started to move up. Rolling her eyes, she really wished she would have gone to her dorm instead of coming into the classroom. She watched as the teacher went to the back of the room, and she thought of it as her perfect opportunity to walk out of the classroom. She didn't, instead she sat perfectly still except for the movement of her hand, which was still drawing hearts over the paper.
Tori wished the teacher would hurry up, and get on with the lesson. She turned around to get a good look at the back of the classroom. It was dust covered, and filthy. It looked like the teacher was taking a very good job of the place. Turning back around, she yawned quietly as she waited.

Sean jogged toward the history classroom, running his hands through his longish hair to keep it from obscuring his vision. He had taken a short detour to the kitchens after Magizoology, and forgetting the time it took to get to the third floor, ended up staying longer then he was supposed too. So he was late. Not too late, but late enough that he feared inciting the well kept anger of the Magical history teacher. At least he would have already had his last meal.
Arriving at the classroom, Sean caught his breath for a mere moment before quietly opening the door. He had hoped to sneak in, but didn't think it possible until he saw that the teacher was not up at the front. Not knowing where she was or when she would reappear, Sean took the first eligible seat he could see, right next to Victoria.
he knew that Emma was in the room, and likely wouldn't be happy that he sat with Tori. Not because she was jealous, as much as he wished it to be the case, but because he and Tori had a history. A rather steamy history if he remembered correctly. Could he help that despite their separation last year that she seemed to be still attracted to him? And she was simply to hot to ignore. Besides, Emma had been known to sit next to Braxton when she had no choice, and they had a history. So he tried not to let himself be bothered by it.
Ignoring Zeek for once, Sean smiled at Tori, noting the hearts on her paper. They seemed devoid of any initials paired with VT, so he leaned over and whispered, "How was your summer Tori? Meet any cute life guards..." Sean could care less who she flirted or worse with. But he liked to see her get riled up and besides, it gave him a chance to brag about his own conquests.

Occ: Alisha if you find this god-modding illk change it, but i doubt anyone will put there hand up to a teacher and class they didn't like.
After a sneeze there and a cough here Dawn eventually found the floo powder and made her way back to the front of the class.
"Right, does.." a last sneeze interupted her sentence. "does anyone want to explain to the rest of the class what this is?"
With the absence of a room filled with hands Dawn continued.
"Very well.." she wiped a bit of dust off her dress. "This is floo powder, this will be the first mode of magical transport we will be discussing. Observe." once again Dawn left her class with a small handfull of floo powder in her hand. Ten seconds later she walked back to the front of the class from the back of the room.
