(Takes place after "The Martini Hour" at the Lake, semi-closed to Elaina, open for any other insomniacs, but please pm first. Also this is set before Emma Vale became a hall monitor.)
After finally reaching the dorm building, Emma made her way to the stairs before remembering she had promised to meet with Elaina. Smiling at the thought of reacquainting herself with the girl, Emma bounded down the set of stairs leading to the basement, only remembering at the last step that everyone was asleep.
Walking quietly, Emma wasn't quite sure if Elaina was waiting for her or not. It had taken Emma a bit longer than usual to make her way back from the lake, but it just couldn't be helped. She wasn't quite sure who Elaina was rooming with, just the room number, but Emma hoped whoever it was wouldn't be disturbed. Or if they were disturbed, that they wouldn't be terribly upset by it. As she counted the numbers, Emma finally found herself at #149.
Holding her breath for a moment to be as quiet as possible, Emma gently knocked on the door, hoping to see Elaina sneak out rather than the face of a disgruntled roommate. Stepping back from the door, Emma could only hope she had been just loud enough to get Elaina's attention. She wasn't worried about anyone else, Zeek was on the other end of the dorms, except Elaina's roommate. Emma felt two years younger, waiting on her partner in crime to sneak out. Sliding against the wall, Emma stood flat against the wall, hoping to avoid being seen if someone else were to open the door.

It was beginning to get even later and Elaina was starting to think that Emma wasn't going to show at all. That's what she got for thinking that she could make another friend like that. she sat on her bed cross legged, drawing a picture of her owl Plato. Her charcoal pencil was going to work on the paper. Her mind wandered all over the place while she drew. There usually was no way to stop Elaina's mind from wondering. There were times when she imagine a big hole in her head, and her mind was spilling out of it.
Soon after she began to work on some of the surroundings of Plato she heard a gentle knock at their door. She almost didn't hear it becuase it was so soft. Elaina looked up and finally decided that if it was Emma she should at least open the door. Elaina got up withher drawing still in hand and pulled the door open quietly.
Elaina looked out and didn't see anyone. She was about to shut the door, but she thought about something. Even though drawing in the hall might get uncomfortable, it was worth the try at least. Elaina walked further out into the hall way and saw Emma next to the door.
A sly smile crossed over Elaina's lips, "Trying to trick me are ya?" she asked casually as she leaned against the wall on the opposite side of the wall.

"Trying to trick me are ya?
Giving a small sigh of relief as Elaina appeared in the hall, Emma was only glad she'd have no other troubles to deal with that night. "Had to try," Emma offered with a half-smile before relinquishing her spot against the wall. Sliding down, Emma sat cross-legged against the wall, leaning her head back as she gave the girl an easy smile.
Now the she was actually able to talk to Elaina, Emma had no idea of what to say. All she knew was that she was facing a comrade of sorts, a witness to the night's events, or at least the knowledge that something had taken place. "Didn't run into anymore trouble, did you?" Emma asked, hoping for something to break the ice.
It wasn't as if she could shake Elaina's hand and declare them bosom buddies, but Emma couldn't help but feel some kinship admidst them. Besides, they were like family being in the same year, some form of acquaintanceship was without saying.

Elaina lay hear head against the wall with a comfortable smile. "Oi, I sure did run into some trouble... but not the bad kind." she said. Elaina knew that couldn't have sounded right. Most people wouldn't think that there was trouble that was good. But Elaina did. She was beginning to think in a whole new way after what happened at the lake.
"You'd never guess who I ran into on the way back to the dorms." Elaina said with a sly smile. She knew there was no better bonding than friendly guessing games. "Think of it was 20 questions." she said excitedly as she made herself comfortable in the hall way floor.
"Ask me a few yes or no questions until you figure out who it is." Elaina said to make things interesting. Usually she'd come right out and say it, but making Emma guess was all the fun of it. Elaina's mind was swimming, she'd be surprised if she didn't just come right out and say it; say that she ran into Sean and more than likely made out with him while they were sitting on the ground. 'Take that, Andy Parker...' she thought to herself.
Elaina figured that she probably had a better time than Andy and Emma did anyways. She didn't care, she was still a little sore at Andy. Of course that could all posssibly pass by before morning even. Elaina wouldn't mind being nice to him when they were alone, but when around her friends and house mates she felt like she had to put up that general defensive facade just to make it look like she didn't really admire him at all.
Not that the kind of admiration Elaina had for Andy was the lovey dovey kind. It was more like she admired the respect he got from other students. Everybody liked Andy... it almost made her sick.

"Oi, I sure did run into some trouble... but not the bad kind."
Smiling at Elaina's own content smile, Emma knew something had happened. Scooting closer, Emma gave her an evil grin before uttering the two simple words spoken by midnight gossips for centuries before them. "Spill."
"You'd never guess who I ran into on the way back to the dorms."
"Who?" Emma uttered, her eyes wide in girlhood eageriness. She had never learned about the teenage urge to whisper secrets concerning the opposite sex until she came to SWIM. It was a whole new world for her, and Emma loved to indulge it every chance she had. Unless, of course, it was just too immature. She wasn't going to look like some freshman around other Seniors. But if Elaina was going to start it, well, Emma wasn't about to leave her hanging.
Ignoring the explanation about the game, Emma didn't really care to guess. She just wanted to know who it was. Emma despised guessing games, they were only a prolonging of the inevitable, and she hated to be kept in suspense. Especially suspense of that nature. She only hoped it wasn't who she feared it was.
"Who!" she whispered more fervently, a yell of a whisper as much as it could be called that. Emma's eyes were alight with curiousity, and Emma wanted to know just who had caused that happy smile upon Elaina's lips.

Elaina was surprised that Emma wanted to know that badly. She didn't even think it was THAT great. Still, she kept her contented smile, "Okay, okay, have it your way." she said finally. But Elaina wasn't going to tell her quite yet. In fact, Elaina paused for about a minute before she even opened her mouth to speak again.
"Alright... it was...." another pause was inserted to draw it out even more. "Sean Ferris." she said at last. Elaina knew that Emma's reaction wouldn't be that great. After all... it is just Sean Ferris, one of the most flirtatious guys in all of Salem.
Elaina didn't care about that though. Sure he could have just been putting the moves on her to say he did. She could even picture him telling everyone that he kissed her, and worse that she kissed him back. That began to worry Elaina a little bit, but not enough to let Emma know about it.
"Well... there it is." Elaina said with a nod, "Not at all what you were expecting was it?" she asked with a chuckle.

"Okay, okay, have it your way."
Giving Elaina a toothy smile, Emma knew she had gotten through. Enough of silly guessing games, Emma wanted to know the dirt, the dish on social games in Elaina's world, and if it was anything like her own. Besides, she didn't have many friends in her year, Emma knew she was a strange, reclusive creature, but she wanted to make up for that, especially know that Hannah wasn't returning to SWIM. Emma was in desperate need of a replacement. If only the girl would hurry up and spill already!
"Alright... it was....Sean Ferris."
Smiling brighter as Elaina drew out her news, Emma let out a little sound of disbelief as she heard the news. Sean Ferris! Suddenly Emma realized she had been holding in her breath, thank God it wasn't Braxton. But Sean Ferris?
"Well... there it is. Not at all what you were expecting was it?"
"No, not really," Emma replied, "But tell me," she added, scooting closer so that only a few inches kept their knees from touching, "What happened?!" Closing her lips on her grin, Emma only awaited the news. So what happened when the flirtatious Sean Ferris cornered a girl in the dark? Emma was quite certain they didn't discuss the various properties of a moonstone.

"What happened?!"
"Well..." Elaina started with a grin. She enjoyed seeing that Emma wanted to know. This was going to be the start of a very nice friendship, or so Elaina thought anyways. While shaking her head she leaned back against the wall, "I ran into him... literally ran into him." she said as if it were some breaking news story.
"Well I fell then he fell and it was this whole big mess... then he crawled over and had me by the shoulders asking if I was alright." Elaina shook her head once more, "You could only imagine the embarassment... gosh. I tried to help him up, but yeah... that didn't work. I fell right on top of him." she said. She smiled just thinking of it.
"Need more? Or is that all the scoop you can handle?" Elain asked, daring Emma to ask for more. Of course Elaina would definately keep on, but she needed to know if Emma wanted to know or not.

As Elaina explained what happened, Emma listened intently to every word. She knew more of the story concerned what was read into Elaina's words than the actual story. She was certain Sean had more of a role in their collision than it seemed, he always seemed to be right there at the right time.
"Need more? Or is that all the scoop you can handle?"
Upon seeing the state of Elaina's goofy grin, Emma's own grin widened even further. "You didn't....did you?" Not sure quite what to ask, but knowing by Sean's reputation and good looks, although she would never admit that in public, something more had definetely happened. Letting her eyes shrink from their golf-ball state, Emma only settled back, just becoming aware of how entranced she had been in finding out the dirt. "Come on, now fess up. What really happened?"

Elaina smiled a chummy smile, "Well... the question should what didn't I do... just kidding." she said jokingly. Shook her head and shrugged, "He kissed me first... and you know when you get kissed and you aren't really expecting it? Well... that's how I was... I was shocked, but excited that hey, I got kissed." Elaina sighed a sigh of reliefe and leaned back against the wall again after having gotten excited again.
"Enough about my night though... how was yours and safety patrol's late night lake adventure?" Elaina asked as she winked slightly. She had no idea that their night turned out like it really did, but she only hoped that Emma might tell her what actually happened since she went all out and laid all her cards on the table. Elaina crossed her arms and looked at Emma with a small smile.
(I know it's short, but I am really bogged down with work haha. So it was all I could manage for the time being.)

"Well... the question should what didn't I do... just kidding. He kissed me first... and you know when you get kissed and you aren't really expecting it? Well... that's how I was... I was shocked, but excited that hey, I got kissed."
Although Emma was almost sent into a state of shock by the first response, she let out a soft laugh at the just kidding. Judging by Elaina's state, Emma wouldn't have been surprised if the first response was the one closer to the truth. She had certainly underestimated the girl, that was for certain. "Awww," she squeaked, "That's so cute!" It was so cute to hear and see Elaina all goofy-eyed from the encounter, and Sean was a sweet boy, she only hoped no harm would come from him.
"Enough about my night though... how was yours and safety patrol's late night lake adventure?"
"Oh, it was alright," she offered indifferently, not really wanting to rehash the night's events. Even though her own story was somewhat similar to Elaina's, in sweetness that was, she had no desire to make Andy a mockery in front of her friend. In fact, Andy was still her friend, so she hoped, and Emma wasn't about to make him a laughingstock.
"He just walked me back to the dorms," she added casually. Leaning forward, Emma's bright eyes returned to Emma's story. "So are you two a couple now?" she asked curiously, wondering if it was just a fling or the start of a new twosome.

Elaina shrugged, "I really don't know... I'm nto really sure I should have went that far anyways." she said truthfully. "Sean's okay, but-- I don't know... maybe I have liked him all along and just didn't realize it." she added with a shrug. "We have a-a-a-a date." Elaina forced herself to say.
"Our first date is supposed to be this weekend on the trip to Salem's Peak... said he'd pick me up in the Common area at 8:00." she paused, "What do you think Emma? should I give this a chance or turn it down?" she asked. Emma was probably the most mature of the two of them. If anyone knew it was her. Elaina just hoped that Emma wouldn't mind helping out a good friend.
(Sorry, I know it's short... but it's all I could get without repeating myself><)

Tori came out of her room when she over heard her room mate talking about a date with Sean. Smirking to herself, she thought about that boy, and all the dates he could get. She would probably go on a another date with him, but she couldn't bring herself to accept that. She wasn't quite sure if she should start yelling at the girl, or just simply talk to her. She never really had a problem with Elaina, and she really didn't play on making one. Stepping completely out of her room, she made herself noticeable to the girls. She wasn't ease dropping, but she just happened to come out when they were talking. She bit her lip, and then spoke up. "Sean Ferris? Hey, I say go for it, just make sure that boy doesn't see any other girl on the date." Tori said smiling.
Tori hoped Elaina wasn't going to think she was listening in on their conversation. If she did, Tori didn't really care. She was just giving her a fair warning about the boy. Warnings from experience. She was prepared to keep walking in case her presence wasn't welcome. She pushed her hair behind her ear before she looked once back and and forth from Emma to Elaina.
(crappy,crappy,crappy...sorry.)

Elaina looked up as another voice greeted them. She wasn’t aware that there was someone else there. It almost seemed like the girl just jumped right on in as if she had planned it or something. More than once the idea that the girl could have been listening in crossed her mind, but she ignored it. Elaina was too happy to get mad at someone at that time. Why let someone else ruin her good night? Elaina looked to Emma to see her reaction before looking back to Victoria.
Sean Ferris? Hey, I say go for it, just make sure that boy doesn't see any other girl on the date."
Down fells all Elaina’s hopes of finishing out the night in a good mood. There was only one way that Victoria could know this, and that’s if she had actually gone on a date with him herself. Elaina had no problem with Victoria at all, in fact, she rarely interacted with her and Elaina had no reason to dislike her. Elaina forced a smile to Victoria, “Well, I should hope that I would be able to keep my date from wandering off to other girls.” She said in a calm voice.
Elaina then had a sudden vision of Sean flirting with other girls on their date. A simple bitter thought crossed her mind, but Elaina decided to let it die along with the vision of Sean. Elaina wanted to get off the topic as soon as she could. If she started something late at night some hall monitor would hear them and they would be busted in a heartbeat. “How have you been, Victoria?” she asked.

"What do you think Emma? should I give this a chance or turn it down?"
So Elaina and Sean really were going to start dating! It was so cute, and Emma didn't know why she hadn't tried to set it up before. Heaven knew Sean needed a good influence in his life besides Emma, and Elaina would prove a good solution to that. Besides, it was cute to see her new friend all excited about it. Sean really was a looker, a fine catch if he could ever learn to settle down with one girl.
"Sean Ferris? Hey, I say go for it, just make sure that boy doesn't see any other girl on the date."
At the sudden voice, Emma gave a small jump before realizing it was Victoria. "Oh, hey Victoria," Emma said, tucking a bit of hair behind her ear to play off the jump. She hadn't expected any others to be out at night, but Emma was only glad it wasn't a hall monitor. She couldn't remember if they had any female monitors, but Emma didn't think Victoria was one.
“Well, I should hope that I would be able to keep my date from wandering off to other girls."
Uh-oh, Emma could just feel the tension beginning to rise. The middle of the night was not the time for a catfight, even though she knew Sean would be pleased to hear of it. "Oh, it should be alright, Elaina," Emma added, trying to reassure her from Victoria's warning, and downplay Elaina's own challenge. Sure the Victoria had a history with Sean, but that didn't mean he couldn't change. At least not a little, and Elaina would do wonders for him.

Tori thought she let out a fair warning. She did think it was quite obvious that Sean would love to go tell his guys about all the girls he met when he was on the trip. So maybe it was possible for Sean to change? She didn't doubt, but it was just hard for her to imagine that. Flirting was the whole reason that her and Sean broke up...well...she did have her part in that too.
“Well, I should hope that I would be able to keep my date from wandering off to other girls.”
Tori thought for a moment that Elaina was going to start something with her, but slowly the tension in the room....hall...went down. She really had no problem with who Sean dated with. It really was not any of her business, and plus her and Sean had both decided to be friends after the break up. She noticed that Elaina didn't seem to want to talk about their subject anymore, and she couldn't blame her. She knew she probably just brought down the excited mood. She was oblivious of people feelings sometimes, and even worse she was oblivious of doing it. "I've been good, how about you," Tori paused remembering that she was talking to two people., "guys"
Tori looked at the two, and forced a smile. She was in quite an awkward situation. She was talking to a girl who was going to go date her ex, and then Emma well...she wasn't quite sure if she actually hated her since her past with Sean. She never had the guts to to go up and ask Emma if she had a problem with her. She usually never talked someone to see if they really hated her. She didn't think much people did.
