Are you over 13?: (You MUST answer this) Well… yes
Name: Tristin Calixso Wright
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Birthday/Sign: December 31, 1968/Capricorn
Blood Type/Purity: Pureblood
Appearance:
At 6 foot, 2 inches, Tristin often towers over those he works with. Keeping himself in fit is a big priority, and he does it by horseback riding and breeding. His ears are somewhat big for his head, though he has tried to not let it bother him over the past few years. His blue eyes, he’s been told, are one of his best features.
Personality:
Tristin, how best to describe him? Arrogant womanizer sums him up rather nicely. But, there is more to him than meets the eye. Like many family members, Tristin is skilled in the art of smooth talking. Of course he thinks he is number one; Anything else would make him do horribly in his business.
He is sometimes quite unforgiving for silly mistakes of other people, but expects them to accept his. While he may seem hypocritical, Tristin couldn’t care less what you thought of him. He’s here to have a good time, hence why he owns a nightclub, rides a motorcycle, breeds horses, and goes to races.
He does love, however he conceals it well. Around those who have helped change his life, Tristin shows his thanks. The things that get the most love from him are his horses. They are the only things that haven’t hurt him.
Tristin is a man who loves ladies and their attention. His philosophy on the matter of attachment is there are too many fish in the sea to be happy with just one. He wants the mermaid, after all. The arrogant, selfish man. Maybe one day the mermaid will find him and show him what’s what.
History:
The first born son of Frederick Wright, 28, and Margaret Wright, 24, Tristin Calixso Wright, came into the world on December 31, 1968. Both sides of the family lived within driving distance in Scotland. His father’s mother was Claire [Mager] Wright, an older half sister of Gabrielle Blagden. His mother’s parents were somewhat wealthy merchants, though by the time he turned eight they had lost every penny they owned and moved in with his parents.
Growing up was full of laughter and love. Spoiled by all his family that lived near him, he grew to demand the attention, idolizing his aunts and uncle. His father had one other sibling, Denise, while his mother had three sisters and a brother. Denise was unable to have children, and spent much of her spoiling on Tristin.
While he learned to ride a broom at an early age, he also enjoyed horseback riding. His parents owned two horses, one a racing horse, and it was Tristin’s job to get them in shape for the new season. In this, he learned young what gambling was and how it worked. By the time he was ten, his father could ask him which horse would win the race and eight times out of ten Tristin would pick the best one. He judged by the way they acted around other animals and humans, as well as if they spooked from loud noises or not. His father often joked about how the family earnings were Tristin’s to deal with, since he seemed to earn the most.
The middle of 1972, Tristin’s mother became pregnant. His brother, Derek, was born February 18, 1973, shortly after Tristin turned ten. Though he loved his little brother, he found that he got all the attention that had been on him before. He withdrew from his family and began doing other things to entertain himself. He studied his books, though he hated the tutor session, and by the time it came for him to attend Hogwarts, he was ready to get out of his house.
Sorted into Ravenclaw, Tristin’s first couple years passed by uneventfully. The late spring of his third year, 1982, his mother had a stroke. At thirty eight, she passed away. The entire family was heartbroken, and Tristin started to lose interest in things he once enjoyed, such as studying and playing and even riding the horses. His father didn’t know what to do, because anything he tried backfired. As a resort to lessen the strain, Tristin was sent to live with his Great Aunt, Gabrielle, and her daughter, Caitlin.
He went to Coven school for the rest of the year, and began SWIM in 1983. When Gabrielle went and traveled, Tristin grew up with his second cousin, who graduated the term before he started. During his school terms, he was often studying hard, intent on getting done as quick as possible so he could ‘start his life.’ Whenever he was home for holidays and the summer, he was at the horse races. One thing he did that would have gotten him in big trouble by his Great Aunt was put bets on the horses. He started up a savings account with his earnings, intent on doing something crazy when he got out of school.
In his Junior year at SWIM, Tristin finished up all the credits he needed and figured why waste a year at the silly school if he didn’t have to? So dropping out after finishing that year, he continued making bets on horse races and eventually bought a plot of land in Salem’s Peak. It was away from the center of the town, more on the outskirts, at least at the time.
Drinking butter beer with some buddies one night, they were talking about how cool it would be to own a nightclub. That got the wheels in Tristin’s head moving, and his two good friends worked with him on setting it up. They were both two years older, and were able to help get the construction companies to help. Six months later, Tristin’s new dream was built, and he set about making the inside ready for opening night.
On opening night, the club was packed. One of the few evenings that he has let it be open to all, and it never failed to bring in the cash flow. He was so drunk that night he could hardly walk, and the next morning he woke up with the biggest hangover he had ever had. What he didn’t know was that the girl he had slept with, a Miss Cecilia Lark, became pregnant during that drunk night.
Over the years, Tristin’s influence among the seedy population grew, as well as his reputation. Though he was never found guilty of anything, many Aurors had an eye on him, waiting for some wrong step. His club flourished and with his fortunes, Tristin bought a run down plantation house, cleaning it up and building stables. The land behind and around it was perfect for raising horses. In his off time, Tristin invested his money into racing horses and other breeds he wanted. The racing horses, once bred and trained, were often sold off to the highest bidder. Not only was he an excellent business man, but he also had the best stocks.
For the past three years he had gotten to know a certain Auror by the name of Mercy LaCroix. Their on again, off again relationship was often the brunt of his frustrations. For the past two years, Tristin had been a secret Neo DE, not by choice of his own, and found it difficult to keep from her. Whenever he worried she was getting too close to his secret, he would end whatever they had, change certain habits, and then let it start up again.
