[/li][/ul]
Personality:
Frills, curls, skirts, pink and teddy bears do not interest Chloe one bit. Much preferring riding, both horses and brooms, and getting dirty, Chloe often calls herself ‘A boy trapped in a girl’s body’. She loves most things that will get her filthy and she will often just sit outside in the garden for hours simply kicking a ball around or something simple like that.
Chloe’s mum is entirely dismissive of how the young girl wants to be and while Chloe will attempt refusing to do certain things with her mother, she also prefers not to get in trouble by mouthing off and so forces fake smiles while being dragged around galleries and to concerts. Many a time has Cecilia brought Chloe some hideous girly attire, and while Chloe simply rejects wearing it, Celia fails to notice as she is too bothered about work to notice how her daughter feels. She instead criticises her and Chloe hates this.
Not having a father figure, Chloe can’t even look up to her mother for that as this woman sometimes fails to fulfil even her duty as a mother. Chloe and her, have an odd relationship. Chloe loves her mother, as does Cecilia, her. They however do not know each other. Cecilia is always working and Chloe is left at home to fend for herself. She is often known to clean up and even cook for herself due to the absence of Cecilia.
This has left Chloe feeling trapped and occasionally somewhat depressed. She wants to be a child and this is being taken away from her by her mother. Chloe understands how it must be to be a single parents, she however feels more can be done. She often feels lonely and due to this, her mother sends her to a psychiatrist. This hasn’t however done anything to their relationship as Chloe feels it should be her mother going in her place.
Chloe, can at times, be very sarcastic. She is smart for a ten year old and knows what’s going on around her. She doesn’t like to let other people see how she feels and so she uses sarcasm as a barrier. She isn’t quiet. She is fairly outgoing and knows what she wants. She isn’t used to getting it though. Due to Chloe’s cleverness, she has a fair idea of how to get people to do what she wants.
Even with her sarcasm barrier, Chloe can be a very friendly person. She loves being around people and will try anything to make friends At home she can be lonely which is why she loves being the centre of attention and having many friends who she will often stick by.
History:
The night a lively 16 year old snuck out of school and into the Wicked Thrill nightclub to get intoxicated by alcohol and sleep with someone she couldn’t remember, was the night Chloe Lark’s life began. The only small clue to whom her father was; was a tattoo on his back and perhaps even hair colour. Cecilia, Chloe’s young mother was faced with a completely new path for her life. The girl’s parents refused her an abortion, not wanting their names degraded any further than they already had been. Cecilia had been pulled from school after her junior year and had not returned after having Chloe.
Born March 22nd 1987, Chloe Lark entered a certainly interesting family. Her mother had a tutor to help her finish school while still looking after Chloe. Cecilia soon started to bond with the small child and she got herself a job at the local newspaper as a reporter. That was the point at which Chloe slowly saw her mother less and less. First being dumped with her grandparents, Chloe grew up quickly. She was a bright child, learning to walk quickly and talking soon after.
When Chloe was very young, she didn’t think at all about how she didn’t have an apparent father. It wasn’t obvious to her and she obviously felt what she had was normal. However, as she began to grow up and think more for herself, she wondered just why other children around her where with fathers and she wasn’t. It didn’t seem fair. She began to question Cecilia and always had the same reply, “I’ll tell you when you’re older”. But she always got older, and was never told. It was as though the whole thing was a big secret and Chloe began to resent it.
Turning 10, Chloe looked forward to starting convent school, finally. She’d been left at home often, having to do all sorts of things. Half the time it seemed as if she didn’t have a mother or a father. Cecilia always focused on her job and it seemed as if Chloe was an annoyance rather than a love. Chloe matured quickly over the ten years of her life. She knew how to cook, clean and she went riding by herself. Over the years however, she found herself several friends, she loved to be around them rather than at home alone.
Finally starting at the school Chloe loved it. She could go by herself and she loved being around people. Chloe excelled in many subjects, loving art and all sorts of other subjects similar to that. This was however when she started wanting a father even more. All the other kids would talk about their parents and how great their dads were when they took them out or played rough house, and there was Chloe unable to say anything. She did however in the end and made up stories about how great her dad was. She told the others that her Dad tamed dragons in Brazil which was why he was never around. She told them how she came to visit, once bringing her home a dragon egg that she got to hatch. She made up all sorts of stories just to fit in better and slowly became more popular, finding how fun it was to tell stories. She certainly had a vivid imagination.

Chewing on some gobstoppers in the corner of the playground, Chloe sat on a bench and flicked through the pages of a book with pictures of dragons. She’d found it in a shop and decided she could say it was a present from her dad. Some of the others were starting to stop believing her stories about him and she found herself needing to come up with ideas. They’d already started saying she obviously wasn’t important and no one cared about her.
Suddenly, something hit her head and Chloe looked up sharply, only to see a group of ugly looking kids gathering around her. “Got anymore fairy tales to tell us about your Dad, Clo?” A large boy asked and Chloe snapped the book shut. She didn’t like his tone of voice, he seemed pretty threatening. Biting her lip, Chloe glanced up at him. “They’re not fairy tales.” She said calmly, standing up and staring straight into his eyes.
Thinking over what she could say next, Chloe stepped closer to the larger boy and glared at him, ignoring the others around them, now moving in on her. “He’s coming home soon anyway.” She blurted out, not really thinking. “I spoke to him last night in the fire. He’s bringing me home another egg.” She added, glancing around at the others. The tubby boy laughed and closed in on her. “So you’ll have someone to come to the dance with you? Won’t be all by yourself with your dragon book?” He laughed and snatched the book from her hands, holding it up high as Chloe reached up to snatch it off him.
Giving up on the jumping to grab it, Chloe lifted her leg and rammed her foot down on the boys, causing him to let out a yelp of pain and drop the book. Before he could get Chloe back, she grabbed the book and ran off. Jackie was at the other end of the playground, she could sit with her.
