Attention All Players!
I wanted to apologize for the time this is taking. We have run into a bit of a snag where we are stuck waiting to get our board up due to some server issues. We are still planning on making the site, but we ask you to be patient because we have no clue on a time period.
We may be looking for some new mods for when the site opens. All of our old mods have either quit or have become inactive, or are simply unable to do their mod work. These all are for good reasons, mainly because of RL issues, and no one is to treat them any different. Even us admins have been going through a hard time.
If you are interested in being a mod, we need some information from you. There are requirements as well:
1. You MUST have an accepted character.
2. You must be on regularly and be able to devote your time to modding. Sometimes this means you won't be able to post because of your duties. If you want to be a mod, you will have to complete your mod duties before your posts, so keep that in mind.
3. You must be an excellent poster. This means that there are minimal spelling and grammar errors, more then minimal length and creativity. We know you aren't perfect, since most of us are not either, but we expect to see you put effort into your posts since that will show your effort in the Field.
Experience with modding and history with successful RPs (This means no one monthers) is a plus.
What is the different types of modding?
There are 4 for the site: Administrator, Global Moderator, Moderator and Creative Counsel.
Administrator: These are the heads and the final say on ANYTHING regarding the site. Everything goes through them before being posted and failing to make changes when they ask you too can and will result in losing modding privileges.
Global Moderator: Global Mods are similar to Admins except they have slightly less power. They are more about the technical issues of the site then the Human Relations. This means they will be doing more with the information and plots then with the characters.
Moderators: plain old Mods are the least powerful and only focus on one area. They often will handle the small and simple jobs (This does not make them small and simple, just the job). Once could say they are much like secretaries. They do not have any power to change things for you. IF you need things changed, you go to the admin or Global Mods.
Main Characters are mods of their particular group. Any teachers or people who own shops and homes are mods of those areas.
Creative Council: The CC doesn't have any power and are not considered Mods. They are just a group of members that have shown their creativity and are there to come up with ideas and give out constructive criticism/compliments. They will help come up with things like contests, events, games and other fun site things. They are basically the ambassadors for the everyday players.
Jobs:
Admins- Accepting/Denying applications, Site Design and Set-up, Main Plot line Development, Human Resources (Handling questions, complaints etc.)
Global Mods- Updating important information, Editing information, Patrolling for Grammar/Spelling/Site rule breakers, Handling the larger sections like the school and government, Writing the newsletters.
Mods: Running shop threads, Teaching Classes, handling organizations, Sorting and updating small information.
If you want to apply, send a note to Gabrielle Blagden and request the job you are wanting. There is no guarantee that you will get it and no promise that there will be work for you at this moment.
