“Sorry, I was a little spaced out… um, think there’s any good movies playing? I’m fine with pretty much anything…”
Sean mentally sighed in relief at her words. He had been scared there for a moment. Her silence had seemed to be a moment of introspection to him, and that was never a good thing. When women got introspective during a date it meant one of two things, they were bored or they were thinking about how nice it would be to be his girlfriend. Neither he wanted. He was here to woo her using the typical dating scenario. A romantic 'together' activity, dinner and maybe a movie, ending the night with a little 'alone time' under the stars. Since her birthday was pretty recent he had intended on buying her a small gift, maybe a teddy bear, nothing too fancy to give her the idea of commitment.
It wasn't that he didn't like Elaina or that he thought she wasn't worth his time. He just hated commitment. He had seen what happened to his parents when they were supposedly 'committed' and he didn't want to live through it himself. His idea of the perfect life pretty much revolved around quidditch and dating as many girls as possible. The only committed relationship he had been in more then a week was to Victoria Leto, and that was because Victoria was as much of a flirt as he was. She didn't mind him flirting with other girls. Unfortunately, hypocritical ass he was, Sean found he hated the idea of her flirting with other guys. It was the reason they split ways and remained 'friendly'. So long story short, he wanted Elaina as a 'friend with benefits' and nothing more, at least for now.
When she placed her head on his shoulder, he realized that he had spaced out himself. She was getting cuddly now. And although he liked the feeling of girls cuddling up to him, he knew that he needed to nip it in the bud before it got to being full out affectionate snuggling. Movies... Movies... what could they watch?
"Well... " He started, scratching the back of his head in uncertainty. What did girls like to watch? Chick Flicks... though he hated them, he would endure one just to be close to her. Or a scary movie, so she would cling to him. "... There is that one... Spelless in Seattle?... Or Would you like to see a scary one instead?"
