Dusting his hands off, Frank was happy with what he had listed. Moving over to his snack he had set up, he took a bite out of his apple, munching on it thoughtfully as he waved his wand at the chalkboard. The lesson plan hid itself as he glanced around. Somewhere he had set his syllabi... There they were! Holding the apple in between his teeth, Frank pulled them to sit on the left side of his desk.
Finishing the apple, he threw the core away. His copy of the syllabus was now in his hands, and he glanced over the various notes he had written on it. Frank had some things to go over, since the attack on the school had left room for many new rules. Once his speech was done, however, the lesson could begin.
Glancing at his wristwatch, Frank made sure to remind himself of the many notes he wanted to include in his lesson that day. The dark blue robes he wore felt awkward. It had been a while since he had had to put on his teaching robes, much preferring just dress slacks and a collar shirt. Sure, that was under the robes, but they were slightly sweltering.

Another time a another class, it seemed that the day was full of nothing but classes. So making her way up to the second floor book bag slung rather uncaring over her shoulder she made her way to the muggel studies room. This wasn't exactly one of her favorite subjects, but she still wanted to learn more about the world around her, even though most of her life she knew nothing but the muggel world. After all for some reason her mother had found it acceptable to try and keep her away from wanting to learn much about the magic she knew.
Rounding the last hall way she came up on the door way and peaked in to see and empty room and only the teacher before her. First thing that crossed Lerena's mind was that she was extremely late or that she missed the class entirely. "Um....sir did I miss the class or....am I just extremely earlier?" Walking in she took a seat near the front of the classroom and set her seat on the desk awaiting some kind of response from her teacher.

Sean glanced at his watch. He was early as far as he could tell, but for once it didn't bother him. Pratt was a cool teacher and Sean could always find at least something to talk about to him until some girl or one of his few male friends came in. Besides, as a muggleborn, Muggle Studies was an Easy O. He just breezed into class, slept with his eyes open and pulled from the vast knowledge of Muggles that he had stored in his girl crazy and oh so handsome head to get his homework done.
Arriving to the classroom, Sean was pleasantly surprised to see that someone had beaten him to class. She was looking a tad apprehensive, probably because she was so early.
"Um....sir did I miss the class or....am I just extremely earlier?"
"You're early..." Sean said, giving her a dashing smile as he came up to her. Dropping his faded army bag on the desk next to her, he added, waggling his eyebrows "But that means we have more time to get better aquainted....Ferris... Sean Ferris."

Taking his time in walking down the hall, Zeek absent-mindedly dusted off his robes from the leftover dirt from his prior Herbology class, then pushed his robes back to hook the thumb of his left hand into his pant's pocket. When he reached the door and re-opened it, it was in time enough to see a brunette having her attention most unsurprisingly stolen away from the teacher by Ferris. Shaking his head, he couldn't even feign shock after seeing the guy hit on girls with every passing class that day.
As he re-adjusted his bag on his shoulder, he walked over to a table off to the side from the two, and most certainly on the opposite side of the girl than Ferris. Hopefully this would have raised his chances of having to talk to him less since Ferris would have to draw the female's attention away from himself if he were to point out Zeek's presence. And for how well he believed he understood Ferris after 2 years and the new class schedules that involved not even a moment away from the girl crazy guy, Zeek figured he'd want the girl's focus all on himself.
As he took his time and refrained from commenting on the obviousness of Ferris' intentions, Zeek set his bag down on the floor and took his seat at the table, looking up to Pratt and nodding his head as a makeshift greeting like he'd always done in the past. Professor Pratt was always one of the more... Interesting teachers, always with the winking and seemingly corny behavior. As Zeek thought it over though, it was a trait about the man that seemed to keep him fairly popular, though.

Hearing a response though not from the teacher she turned her head to see a familiar face. Sean or at least that was what she believed his name was, the flirt of the junior class. Lerena wasn't exactly sure how to take this, but simply nodded at his response, "I see well that makes me feel a little better." Somehow talking to him seemed to come easy but when he plopped himself down right next to her that was when her mind went blank.
His next comment didn't really help to ignite the fire's in her mind to start again. In fact she just quirked a brow at him and tilted her head slight, tendrils of auburn hair falling over her azul eyes. Finally something came to her mind, "Really is that so Sean Ferris huh I'm Lerena.....Lerena Tollringer."

Sean smirked a little. She was cute. Of course he knew who she was. They were in the same year after all. But he wasn't going to say anything she could perceive as mocking. No, instead he swept up her hand an brushed a kiss across it. Not really a kiss as much as his lips brushing across it almost nonexistantly.
"Pleasure is all mine." He said with a twinkle in his eye, letting her hand go after a short moment. He noticed Zeek enter out of the corner of his eye and smirked a little. When the tall boy sat down, Sean took his gaze from Lerena, somewhat reluctantly, and leaned back in his chair so he could call over to Zeek.
"Hey Zeekie. Whatcha doing in this class? I didn't think that purebloods gave much credit to my kinds achievements."

Tori actually looked forward to this class. She didn't even know why she took it. She knew all there was know about muggles. Ok, so maybe not everything, but she knew quite a bit. This class would be an easy grade, and a good laugh. She loved to see how people reacted to some muggle ideas. She walked down the hall rather slowly. Being first into the class would be a disappointment to her. She shuffled her feet on the floor as other people rushed past her. Finally, she reached the muggle studies door, but she simply just stood in front of the door before she entered it. She was trying to decide if she really wanted to go in, or skip class to do something must more fun. After a minute she decided to enter.
Tori was happy with the people that were in this class. None of the guys were annoying idiots, and Lerena wasn't one of those stuck-up girls. She nodded her head to the professor. He was one of the professors she liked. Possibly because he didn't talk to her much was the reason for that. She smiled at the rest of the people in the room. She thought for a moment of sitting with Sean, but he looked perfectly fine with Lerena. She took a seat a table next to theirs, and she began to take out a notebook, and a pencil out of her bag. She opened up her notebook, laid her chin in her hand, and started to write the essay that was assigned for homework. She didn't feel like writing it later, that would be when she would be with her friends.

“Um….sir did I miss the class or….am I just extremely earlier?”
Raising an eyebrow, Frank glanced around the classroom and smiled. However, before he could respond to Miss Tollringer, Mr. Ferris took it upon himself to tell her. Rolling his eyes, Frank knew of the boy’s reputation. As long as it didn’t get out of hand, there was no point in stopping it. Then Mr. Lafayette came in, and Frank nodded back at him before sitting up and looking at his lesson plans.
“Hey Zeekie. Whatcha doing in this class? I didn’t think that purebloods gave much credit to my kinds achievements.”
Frowning as Frank looked up, he quickly stood from the desk and moved around until he stood next to Mr. Ferris’ desk. “Mr. Sean Ferris. Starting off quick this year, aren’t you? I didn’t know you had your own kind.” Motioning to the front of the classroom, his eyes steel, he gave the boy a tight smile. “Care to show the class exactly what achievements your kind has… achieved?”
Out of the corner of his eye, Frank noticed Miss Leto sit down, though his attention was still on Sean. Giving it another moment of silence, he pushed himself away from the desk, thinking over point loss. “You, Mr. Ferris, are a wizard. Mr. Lafayette is a wizard. Blood has nothing. I mean nothing to do with taking a class. If you care to keep your prejudice to yourself, I’d much appreciate it. Five points from Cliodne.”
Normally, disrespect earned a student detention, but since it was the first offense, and not very big at that, Frank decided to wait and see if it got out of control. Finally making it back up to the front of the class, he rested against the back of his desk, facing the students. “Okay then, that gets us right into the lesson. My class rules should be fairly straightforward and simple. No disrespect, no missing class. Tardiness takes off house points, and if you make a habit, a detention with me will be your reward.”
Glancing over the faces, he crossed his arms over his chest, the robes getting rather stuffy. “Homework is to be turned in when class begins, anything after has ten percent deducted. You will know about a test a class in advance, and any questions you have over material covered can be asked during class time, or by making an appointment with me. My first priority is to make sure you are learning. Also, you all know the rules of uniforms. Come in them, no excuses.”
That seemed to cover the classroom rules… “You will have four lessons this ear. Lesson one will be about American Society and Muggles. Lesson two is about Technology, Lesson three about Transportation, and Lesson four will be preparing you for ADEPT.” His wand in his hand, he quickly sent the syllabus to each student, leaving his copy in front of him on the small podium he kept.
Smiling, finally, Frank relaxed a little. “And now the class will begin. Welcome back to a new term, glad to see familiar faces. If you look at the board, you can see what we are doing today, as well as your homework for next class. I want your full, undivided attention, and that means reserving homework for after the lesson.” Putting his glasses on, Frank pulled his lesson plan over and began from the top. “What is culture?” Glancing around the classroom, he thought of picking someone out. “Miss Tollringer. Can you give the class your definition of culture?”

"Hey Zeekie. Whatcha doing in this class? I didn't think that purebloods gave much credit to my kinds achievements." The voice had chimed in to prove that Zeek's efforts of going unnoticed by Ferris had obviously failed. Simply shrugging, Zeek gave a mental eye roll. What he'd give to curse this guy, though there was slight truth in Ferris' comment maybe not for all pures, but for himself in some cases. But he was smarter than to agree with the statement.
“Mr. Sean Ferris. Starting off quick this year, aren’t you? I didn’t know you had your own kind. Care to show the class exactly what achievements your kind has… achieved?”
Ah, and Pratt was definitely on his toes, and didn't seem like he was going to let any of his students act out in his teaching environment. It was hard to hold back the grin that so much desired to surface as the professor carried on, and even deducted points from Cliodne before changing the topic to more important matters. Up through what they'd be learning, Zeek thought over what was mentioned, but didn't honestly know that much about the life of muggles. And hell, his father-in-law was no muggle to learn from. Although when the definition of culture was brought up, Zeek turned his head just enough to look at Tollringer from the corner of his eye, awaiting how she would answer the question.

Max had quickly changed back into her uniform before class took place, she'd lost time writing to her brother Greg, while talking with her new room mate Harrie Darleh. Max had kept on her black tube socks and black pletted skirt thankfully, and only had to change her top and shoes. Luckly she'd managed to find her way to the Muggle Studies Classroom.
Max yawned lightly, it wasn't a sign that she was tired or even bored, it was just one of those yawns that happens unexpectably. Shaking it off she took in a deep breath, this another day back at SWIM.. It wasn't going to be the same without some of her old friends, but she'd make new ones.. Right? Oh why in the world was she worrying about this now, though for once in her life she was shocked that she seemed early.
Max recognized a few faces, but no one she really new personally, so she just sliped herself into an empty seat. Max glanced around the room once more taking note of the people around her, she wasn't quite sure why she was doing it but she was. Interestingly enough she'd woken up in one of her strange moods this morning and the effects still hadn't worn off.
