Grading Rules and Information
[/u] use this system. We want this to be as fair as possible. If you are not up to doing a little math,
please do not apply as a teacher.
[li] There will be
3 terms per year of 3 months each. Total points possible for a year is
200 per student.
[/li][li] Each term will be made up of
2 classes per student year.[/li][li] This means that Core class teachers will teach
8 classes per term and
24 per year. Elective teachers will teach
6 per term and
18 per year.
[/li][li] Each student will start with a
P, at 100 points. [/li][li] After every class, you (The teacher) will add the points gained to the students grade
[/li][li] At the end of the year, the
points will add up to the students final grade.
[/li][li] At the end of the year, the Dean will make a test worth 10 points. The number of points the students gets correct on the test will be give to them to divide up amongst their classes so they can supplement their final grade. Teachers
NEED NOT do a Final test.0 (Outstanding)= 161-190 pts
E (Exeeds Expectations)= 131-160 pts
A (Acceptable) = 100-130 pts
-------------------- Below this line is considered failing gradesP (Poor) = 100 or Lower
FailingStudents will fail a class if they
do not do a single homework puzzle (Just doing one gets them an A). With this new system, students needen't attend class, however, they have to turn in a puzzle in order to receive points.
See below on the class set up to see what to do for puzzles.
Exceptions [/li][li] If a player
cannot get on the site to post, for whatever reason, they will be excempt from class as "sick". They will not be given nor deducted points for their absence.
[/li][li] If a student
quits the site or goes on a long hiatus, they will be pulled from the rosters and their grade given as N/A.
Important Note: If a student fails
3 or more classes, they will be held back a year.
