Name: Michelle Kimball
Age:35
Gender:Female
Birthday/Sign:March 15; Pisces
Blood Type/Purity:Full
Appearance:Michelle has long brown hair, with beautiful brown eyes. She has a beautiful smile. She is 5'3 and weighs around 135 pounds. She is beautiful in almost every aspect, even though she doesn't think that. She is very health conscious, and works hard to keep her physique.
Personality: Michelle isn't exactly the kindest of people, at least not to apathetic people. She has been called sarcastic many times, and will be called it many more times probably. She loved children though, and isn't very hostile toward them, unless they find a way to tick her off, which isn't easy. She is very odd sometimes, even in serious situations. She can be pessimistic sometimes, except in the classroom. She is almost two opposite people between the classroom and the rest of her life.
History: Michelle was born on March 15, 1962 in a snowstorm. Her mother was different, she didn't exactly like doctors, and refused to go to one, even during birth. Her father was a muggle lover to the highest extent, and so they lived in a quiet muggle village in North Dakota. Instead of apparating to a hospital, Michelle's mother decided to birth her child at home. The birth wasn't exactly practical, but it wasn't unheard of either in the '60's. She was born at 6:22 pm, in the bedroom floor, with her father as the mid-wife.
In her younger years, she was a rough child. Some odd things went on, and even though she knew she was magical, she couldn't stop them. Living in a muggle neighborhood, her parents had a hard time keeping up with her. Her parents loved her, but they didn't care for her much, they considered her a mistake, one who was only there to cost them time and money. She didn't really care though, because that was all she knew. She loved to just play, away from her parents, and away from the muggle children.
Some may say she was deprived for attention, but she didn't feel that way. She grew up normally, at least into her teenage years. She finally got accepted into Salem, which she loved, because it was away from her nagging parents. She got along great at Salem, where she could practice magic and not get in trouble. She loved her classes, and everything was great. She had a normal stay at Salem, not everyone can have troubles, right? She finally graduated, and tried her hand at many professions.
She tried to be a shop assistant, and stunk at it. She tried to become an auror, but failed the test. She traveled to many places to try and find something she liked, and couldn't find anything. Michelle loved to duel, and finally found a place where she could fit in. She found a professional dueling club, and was taken on as their new intern. It was great, she was great at it, and finally reached full dueling status. She went up against the toughest of competitors, and won against them all, except for one.
She had one duel with a short fellow, one who looked like he was a goblin, people called him, Filius. He looked very intimidating, and the duel began. Michelle had her hair in a tight bun, as she wore it while she dueled, and began. They were going strong for a while, doing countering moves, that is, until Michelle made a stupid move and tried a jelly-legs curse. The guy called Filius made a great comeback and threw her out of the ring, making her lose the match. It was the end of her career.
She was devastated, losing her titles, and went through a mid-life crises at the age of only 32. She tried to get her life back on track, but it just turned her bitter, until she found the job she couldn't live without, teaching. She went to the school, and was interviewed by a witch who looked like she was new at this. After a shaky acceptance, she began her job as the new Practical Magic professor.
She loved it more than dueling, and she had really loved to duel. Her classes went great, at least for two years. Last year, in 1996, there was an attack on the school. She was asleep at the time, and didn't realize what was going on, at least not as soon as she would have hoped. All she knew was that she heard a loud ruckus in the hall and went to investigate. When she walked down the stairs, barely awake, she was faced with a group of people that were trying to destroy the school she loved so dearly. She pulled out her wand and raced quickly down the rest of the stairs, trying to make sure that no more damage was done. She stunned many of the people as she helped the other professors to chase the attackers away, and was actually held up by a particularly fiesty person. She was hit from behind with some blunt object, maybe even a spell, and was out cold. When she woke up, she was all alone, out on the grounds with a dissolution spell put on her. She found her wits and was surprised to see that she was one of the only ones from the school that were knocked out. She soon recovered, but made sure that she started putting more emphasis on protection in her classes.
Likes: Michelle likes to duel, it gives her great joy to compare herself to others. She also likes Quidditch, because it does the same thing, compares people. She likes it when people know where they stand and keep themselves in line.
Dislikes: She really dislikes it when people don't listen to her. Her biggest pet peeve is when people talk over her. She doesn't like it when the people in her class become apathetic.

Professor Kimball was running a bit late today. She had already given out three detentions in the hall and needed to get to class. It had been a long day and Michelle was tired. She was rather excited about her class though, because of the subject she was teaching on. It was the day for the disarming spells, and she loved to teach them, in case there was another attack. These days you just had to be on the lookout, because there could be another attack any time.
She finally made it to her classroom, and without getting too cranky. As she walked into the classroom, the bell rang for the start of class. "Put away your books," She said as she walked to the front of the class. "Today, class," She said, when she reached her desk, and turned around, "We will be learning the disarming charm, everyone grab a mat from the stack in the corner." She walked over to the board and wrote the incantation for them to read. "Everyone ready? Good," she said.
"Repeat after me, Expelliarmus, WITHOUT wands please." After looking around the room to make sure people weren't using their wands, she continued, "Now for the wand movements, don't use the incantation, just the movements. It is a rather simple incantation, just make one quick clockwise turn, and point. Now, I want you to try it out on your partners." She started walking around to check out the couples, and saw that they weren't doing anything. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and go!"
