Dawn has blonde hair that she neatly brushes everyday. At the end of each strand of hair it curls up and Dawn never seems to brush it down. She has dazzling brown eyes. She wears no glasses. She is not fat and yet she is not stick thin. Her figure is well built and health. She always wears old fashioned clothes to remember what the people in the olden days had to go through, yet she likes wearing it anyway. She wears a light brown shirt with a brown corset on top. She also wears a ankle high dress that matches her shirt.
Personality: Dawn has an extremely warm personality. She shall smile on always. They once had a competition in the Institute to see who could catch her unhappy. Everyone failed. Dawn has a tendency to wave at people who have just entered the room even if she's monitoring detention. She's a bit gone in the head. Her head stays firmly in the clouds. She is always nice with people but when alone she starts screaming at herself. She clenches her fists and shouts through a crooked smile. There was one time when she nearly hit a child in detention. Lucky she got no where near him as he was messing around with shielding spells.
History: Dawn was born in London at her uncle's house. The Professor Binns of Hogwarts. Her mother left after Dawn was only 3. Her mother Adelaide and her father, Binns brother, Gregory left for an adventure. The life of Binns' was boring. It ran in the blood line. They left for the jungle where they were killed. Professor Binns was her mentor. When came the day when Binns left for good to stay at Hogwarts Dawn was given to a orphanage. This is when she snapped and a part of her brain seemed to disappear and she became utterly joyful. You may think it's a good thing but she often has strange outbursts of rage. Like smashing a glass in her hand. But while these out bursts happened she would smile but rather crooked.
When she was sent to the magical orphanage named Peleley's Orphanage for Lost or Homeless Magical Children. POLHM. She was about 11. At this time her uncle had already taught her much about the History of Magic. She was mostly interested in the Witch Trials. She stayed in the orphanage until she was 18. She gain much respect from the other children in the home. Mostly because she would do their chores if they asked nicely. When she left she went on a search for her uncle. Her uncle told her of a school where he worked but never the name. Dawn found herself at a Dock. She was extremely tired. She began asking round for a magical school. An old woman took her to a side and told her of a magical school. Dawn took what the woman said wrongly. She presumed that the old woman meant thats were her uncle was. But he wasn't. Dawn went on a ferry as the old woman pointed out. Once aboard Dawn fell asleep for ages. She was awoken by a ship hand. When they arrived in America she began looking for the school. By the time she found it she was 22. She had a job at a local shop and had a husband. Dawn was offered a job there. She never did find her uncle...
She obviously took the job. There was nothing left for her in the local shop. Her husband lives in a small cottage next to the school.
On the day of the attack Binns was walking down the corridor of the school when one of the men walked right in front of her. She tried her best to stop him. She began to say a incantation. 'Sillios Hollion Inflamerion' nothing happened for a while. The man began to laugh only to realize 10 seconds later that the corner of his robe was on fire. Hmmm she thought as she picked up a book that was left in her classroom. It was a red book with a green title saying 'Herbology for Idiots'. She smiled. "Charming...".
"What is?" a student said entering the room.
"Oh!" she popped her head up to see a friendly face. "Amanda... Your early!" she smiled. "Nice to see some enthusiasm" her smile grew.
"Umm, no I'm not." A group of students then entered from behind Amanda.
The pupils on Dawn's eyes grew. "Oh! Umm, students once seated please take out your books on the history of witch trials." Dawn shouted over the chattering of the students. She walked over to her desk and picked up her copy of the book.
The students one by one slowly sat and continued to talk.
"Settle down, please..." she tried to shout louder but she really didn't want to. Once everyone had finally finished talking she walked up and down the isle in the classroom. She spoke. "Many years ago people like me and you were trailed to see if we were witches. It wasn't always witches that were trailed. Many muggles were trialled and lost their lives because of mis-evaluation. Most 'witches' that were killed were in fact muggles. For instance... Florence could you tell me what you find annoying about ummm.. Ricardo." she enjoyed getting the students involved.
"Well.. He always takes my seat in Defensive Magic..."
Dawn smiled. "Anyone think that is a silly thing to be annoyed about?" she suggested.
Many hands rose into the air.
"Exactly, but if we were living years ago. Florence would accuse Ricardo of being a witch just because he would take her seat. This is what happened.. Now can anyone tell me one of the trials these witches.." she did a hand action symbolizing dialog marks. "... had to go through?" she smiled as a few hands rose. "Ummm... Peter?"
"You!" a few of the class laughed.
"Vve..rryy.. FUnny..." she had began to crack.
