Name:Dakota Ludwig
Age:16
Year in Salem:Junior
Gender:Female
Birthday/Sign:January 5th Capricorn
Blood Type/Purity:Half-blood and O blood
Family Members:Real Family: Stan and Diane Ludwig (parents) Mike Ludwig (brother) Half Family: Daniel Martin (step-dad) Elena Martin (step-sister)
Appearance: Dakota is short girl. She has dirty-blonde hair which she hates. Her body type is athletic looking even though shes not that active. She has olive skin that always seem to go perfect with her eyes. Dakota's eyes change colors day to day, and they are very bright. (as in changes from green to blue, etc)
Personality: Dakota is only outgoing when you get to know her. The first impression of her is always the quiet one, but thats only because she likes to watch how people act before she talks to them. Usually, she finds that a person is fake so she stays away from them.
Like almost every girl Dakota's age, she likes looking at boys. Looking is all she will do because she gets very nervous around a boy she likes. Starting a conversation with a boy is also something she wont do.
Dakota is the type of friend anyone would want. She keeps secrets, and feels sympathy for her friends when ever they need it. Even though shes pretty short, she always stands up to someone who talks about her friends. Sometimes thats a bad thing to do, but not to her.
Even though it seems like she is the sweetest girl, Dakota has a different side. She hates younger kids, and she is constantly scaring them. It has something to do with having a younger step-sister. Dakota usually only talks to people in her own house also.
History:Dakota Ludwig was born to Stan and Diane on January fifth in London. She was the second child of the family. She already had an older brother, Mike, who was one at the time of her birth. As a baby, she learned things faster then most babies. She was walking at 8 months unlike her brother who started to walk at 10 months. Even though she couldn't do much by herself, she always wanted to try something on her own first.
Dakota's ability to learn things fast got even stronger as she grew up. Mike and Dakota were closer then anyone could imagine. They were constantly together, speaking their baby language. When the siblings were separated they didn't do much, except sit there. She always was the leader of what ever she played with Mike, even though he was older.
At three years old, Diane started to tell her about magic. Immediately, her favorite game to play was witches and wizards. Her parents were proud. Of course Diane was prouder because she was a pure-blood, and Stan was a half-blood. Dakota seemed more interested in magic then Mike was, and she constantly asked about it. For a three year old, she knew a lot about magic.
When Mike was around the age that muggles should go to school, Stan insisted that he would go to a muggle school until he was old enough to go to wizarding school. Being the pure-blood that she is, Diane refused. This caused a great argument that resulted in a divorce. The worst thing that could happen to Dakota, happened.
Mike and Stan stayed in London, and Dakota and Diane moved to America. Without her brother, Dakota refused to do anything. At five years old she seemed kind of depressed. Her parents worked out that she would go back to London every summer. She was very pleased with that.
Dakota learned more and more about magic, and at 9 years old she could have written a book about it. She was also very smart for her age, and she constantly tricked her friends with her wit. Her mom seemed to forget that Dakota was a half-blood, but she still knew she was. She pretended to be a pure-blood though when her moms new pure-blood boyfriend came over their house. Eventually, Diane and Daniel Martin got married. This would have been fine to her if Daniel didn't have his bratty five year old daughter.
Dakota couldn't stand the five year old, Elena. Elena was constantly stealing her stuff and whacking her over the head. More then once she wished that she could use some of the spells that her mom taught her.
Finally, she became the age to go to wizarding school. She chose to go to Hogwarts. She stayed with her dad and Mike over breaks. Mike and Dakota were still close then ever. Mike was also going to Hogwarts. At Hogwarts, she was a very smart witch. Potions seemed to be her gratitude, while charms was not. She was sorted into Slytherin which was a great surprised for Stan, but it was a blessing to Diane. She didn't know much about the houses but in time she learned that she had to pretend she was a pure-blood or she wouldn't have half of the friends she had.
At the end of her fourth year, her mom decided to put Dakota in Salem's Witches Institute of Magic. Once again, she sadly said good bye to her brother and Dad. Hogwarts was very upset to have such a good witch leave, for she still had the ability of learning things fast.
She returned to America, and prepared herself to enter a whole new school.
Dakota made friends quickly, and easily. She didn't want to admit it, but she actually was enjoying her new school more then her old one. Although, she wanted her brother to be with her. Shortly after she got there, there was an attack. She stayed enclosed in her dorm, and listened to all the commotion.
Her mom wrote to her after the attack to make sure she was OK. Of course, she was fine, just a little scared. Once she learned more about the attack, to found out that two hall monitors were taken, but found. Dakota like everyone else was surprised.
Soon, everyone started to get back to their normal routine, and she did the same.

Dakota sat crouched perfectly still behind a couch listening to the plans of younger students trying to sneak out of their dorm. She was starting to get a throbbing pain in her left leg. Her right hand was placed over her mouth to stop the sound of her heavy breathing. She wasn't doing this so they would find her. If they did, she would just laugh. No, she was doing this so she could follow them, and then turn them in. These were the type of things she lived for.
The sound of chairs moving, and people getting up filled the room. She waited for it. Finally, they sound of the dorm door shutting. She stood up and stretched anything that hurt. The throbbing in her leg started to go away as she made her way out of the dorm.
It was way past the hours students were allowed to be out, but Dakota had to follow those students. Why? Simply because she had nothing better to do.
The moon shining in on the half draped windows made the shadows of students sneaking about bigger then what they really were. Screams of people being caught by hall monitors could be heard all around.
More then once she was frightened by a statue that she thought was a person. She laughed at herself, but couldn't help but touch the statue just to make sure it was really a statue. She followed the group of younger students. Suddenly, they all dashed into an empty classroom. By instinct, she did the same in another classroom. Dakota leaned her back against the door, breathing heavy. When she looked up, she was met by yet another statue. Wait, this statue was moving.
Dakota sighed in disappointment as she met 'statues' eyes. It was a hall monitor. Without being told to do anything, she made her way out of the classroom, and back to the dorm. She made sure not to try and get away for she knew that he was following. The thought of the younger made her scowl in complete disgust. Dakota established that this was all their fault.
