Are you over 13?: Yes, I’m 15.
Name: Scarlet Stegmeier.
Age: 15.
Year in Salem: Sophomore.
Gender: Female.
Birthday/Sign: July 19, 1982 / Cancer.
Blood Type/Purity: Halfblood / Muggle mother, Wizard father
Family Members: Mother and father.
Appearance: Scarlet looks like your typical American teenager. She has short blonde hair, has an average build, and sharp blue eyes that tend to change colors with her moods, clothes, etc. Her height is around 5"1'. She is never seen without her black-rimmed glasses on. She's a big tomboy and never wears a dress or skirt unless it is absolutely necessary. Whenever Scarlet is out of uniform she is normally in a spaghetti strap shirt and blue jeans.
Personality: Scarlet's personality can change depending on her situation. Around friends she's very vibrant and outspoken. She's also very talkative and can be loud if she gets in a good enough mood. Around new people, however, Scarlet can be very shy and reticent. She likes to sit back and observe new people. Though if they're meeting for a second time, Scarlet is sure to jump right into a conversation.
Scarlet is also very friendly in most situations. Unless she's been given a reason not to like someone or be mean to someone, Scarlet is generally easy to get along with.
History: Scarlet grew up with a very loving family. Her mother was a housewife while her father was a computer game programmer. He didn't even use his magic in his field of work. They lived in a small town in Oklahoma, though Scarlet's father was often gone due to business. Sometimes Scarlet even went with him. She saw almost all of North America and even some parts of Europe and Australia. She was very well brought up and at times even very spoiled.
Scarlet didn't even find out her father was magical until she was nine years old when she caught him using his wand to clean the kitchen. She called him out on it and he had to explain to her that he was magic. Her mother knew, but they decided to keep it a secret from Scarlet for as long as they could just in case she wasn't magical.
Scarlet attended a Coven school from age eleven to age thirteen. At the end of her eight grade year, Scarlet took her SMART exams like any normal witch of wizard to be in America. She came out with high grades in each of the four subjects. At first she feared she wouldn’t do well because when it came to exams, Scarlet usually became very nervous and didn’t do as well as she could. Luckily, she did do well and was excited o get into SWIM.
Unfortunately, this didn't settle well with her mother. She wanted her to be a normal child with a normal childhood. This now seemed impossible. Scarlet started withdrawing from her mother because her mother wasn't supportive of her decision to go to SWIM.
In Scarlet’s first year at SWIM, the school was attacked by DeathEaters. Of course this terrified Scarlet. She had never seen the war as a very big issue because she was an extremely sheltered child. This view changed when the DeathEaters attacked and kidnapped two students. Scarlet seriously considered not coming back to the school she had loved so dearly upon entering. Her mother allowed her to know she was supportive of a decision not to go back while her father allowed her to know he would be highly disappointed.
Scarlet decided to go back and although she was slightly afraid, decided it was probably best to face her fears.

Scarlet checked her watch as she made her way back to the student dorms. She cursed slightly under her breath as she realized she was out after hours. This was her second time this week and last time she had been caught by one of the hall monitors. She pushed her short bangs out of her eyes and and bit down on her lip very gently. 'I just hope I don't get caught tonight. That monitor with have me for supper if he catches me again.'
No sooner had she thought this then did she turn a corner and there was the hall monitor that had caught her earlier that week. She covered her mouth and tried to get back around the corner as quickly and quietly as she could. Unfortunately, she wasn't quick enough.
"Hold it Miss Stegmeier!" He stated loudly enough for Scarlet to hear him. She stopped, stomped her foot silently against the floor, and leaned against the wall.
"Yes?" She stated with a mischevious smile.
"Second time this week Miss Stegmeier. Didn't I tell you not to be out this late again?"
"Well...yes." She bit down on her lip. "But I got caught up in the moment outside. I was daydreaming see and time just flew by me!"
"I don't care. That'll cost your house some points and if I catch you again, I'll be forced to report you and get you a detention." His voice was firm.
Scarlet fiddled with her necklace and smiled. "Of course." She stated with a small curtsy. Then she took off
