Name: Cheyenne 'Chey' Collens
Age:16
Year in Salem:Junior
Gender:Female
Birthday/Sign: August 1st 1979/ Leo
Blood Type/Purity: Type A/ Halfblood
Family Members:
Susana Collens: Mother
Michael Collens: Father
Appearance:
Personality: Generous, nice, helpful, caring, and perfect. That describes what her mom thinks of her, but she would describe herself as something much different.
Chey is very outgoing, and finds every chance to talk to someone. She is defiantly not the type that you would describe as the 'quiet girl'. Some might find that annoying, and if they do, she is completely oblivious to it. But she's also not the girl that shouts at the top of her lungs to get attention.
To some, she might come on as too strong. This is because she states how she feels quite bluntly without considering people's feeling first. She thinks it's better to say the truth rather than conceal it from whomever she is talking to. She will tell you how she feels about what you say. Such as, if she thinks your ideas are stupid, she will tell you. Chey will also tell you if she feels that your clothing choice is stupid. Not that she is the fashion police or anything, she doesn't go around telling people that their outfit is stupid randomly. Somehow, it just works its way into her conversations. Other than her strong side, per say, she is a pretty typical girl.
There is nothing else to say about Chey besides a seventeen year old. Most seventeen years olds would say that flirting is a common thing that girls do. She agrees with that, but she doesn't go over a limit with boys. Not like Victoria Leto (ļ), but she does like boys. Drama is something she says that she avoids, but in reality she causes it, just like any other person.
Chey can be very inquisitive. Possibly, too much sometimes. She tends to get in situations that she didn't belong in, in the first place. That only happens when there is something she really wants to know.
History: In a small town of Pennsylvania, there lived two young people. Susana Montante was a pureblood, living in a family that believed that purebloods were superior. Susana was constantly kept away from any other people besides witches and wizards. In fact, her mother had her wedding planned out. The only thing that was missing was the husband. Even at sixteen, Susana's Mom was always trying to find a potential husband. Susana used the excuse that her Mom watched too many old movies where the parents choose the wife. Susana disagreed with her Mom and dad's beliefs greatly, thinking that all types of witches and wizards should be able to get along. But that last thing that Susana would do was tell her parents that.
In the same town lived Michael Collens, a halfblood. The beliefs of the Montante family, and the Collens family were obviously completely different. Michael had a much more relaxed life, not even thinking about who his future wife would be. Michael attended SWIM, same school as Susana. Despite all her family told about her about halfbloods, Susana started to hang out with Michael. Eventually they started dating, and both of their families found out. Michael's parents hated Susana's parents, and the same feeling was felt by Susana's parents. The two of them dropped out of SWIM in their senior year, and moved to the other side of the country, not communicating with their families. After a year of settling in, they got married, only calling their families to tell them the news.
In the year of 1979, Mike and Susana gave birth to their first and last child. Cheyenne Collens was born in a nearby hospitable with a full head of blonde hair. Just like any other Mom, her Mom babied her, but her dad treated her just like any other father would. Chey was never told anything about her other family. Susana and Mike thought it would be much easier to ignore the fact that their parents hated their relationship. The only thing she knew about her grandparents or at least what her parents told her was that her grandparents moved to the other side of the world, living underground. That excuse worked the first couple years of her life, but it would soon fade.
Usually at the age of five, kids were still playing with their little toys, and such, but Chey found out something about herself. No, it wasn't using a wand when her parents were sleeping, it was something much different. She could sing, and pretty good for a five year old. Her Mom was enthusiastic about a singing career, but her father was afraid it might not work out. She didn't care what happened for all she was doing was singing nursery songs in a cute voice. But her singing didn't stop there. Her Mom took her to lessons when she was seven. From there, she did small performances with other muggle children in small theaters. Her Mom soon took the singing thing as a big deal, and was practically forcing her to go to lessons and performances. She took it well at first, but got sick of it. She knew she had to tell her mom, but she dreaded the reaction. She expected her Mom to take it well, and support her decision. She even thought that her Mom would be happy that Chey told the truth. Boy was she wrong. Her Mom was very upset about her decision, and it caused a lot of arguments between her and her Mom. Her dad on the other hand was the one who supported her decision. She kept singing, but in the privacy of her own room, and mostly when no one was home.
With all these new free time, Chey started to hand around kids her own age and no longer older adults who were at the theaters. Since her teachers that taught her to sing always told her what liked and didn't like in a blunt way, she carried that over to her friends. She found nothing wrong with it since she had been going to lessons for a while. That personality trait would stick with her, her whole life.
She went to her coven school when she was eleven, and discovered something new at the school. Boys. Well, of course she already new about them, but she never knew how much fun 'talking' to them could be. Her first year at the coven school, she was quite a flirt. In fact, she even lost track with the number of dates she went on. This new personality was completely hidden form her parents, they still thought she was a perfect angel. She decided to keep leading them on that way, as well. It wasn't until her second year at her coven school when she stopped being such a big flirt, for there were certain rumors that started to fly around the school. Other than that being change, her years at her coven school were quite normal. The only thing that made her different from the rest of the students at the school was her large dislike of quidditch. She hated everything about it: the rules, the flying, the uniforms... Part of that probably had to do with the fact that there was no way she could fly. She obviously didn't mention that to people.
Chey started to sing often again, and found that her voice had matured greatly since the last time that she sang. She even let people hear her sing, but not for the attention, not that she minded it, but it was to see if people actually liked it. She was starting to get a hint of what she might want to be when she was older. After she realized that she could sing, her grades didn't matter much to her, and wasn't until her parents gave her a long lecture over one summer that she decided to pick them back up again. So, she left her coven school with fairly well grades. SWIM was as much as she had heard from her parents. She wasted no time with making friends, and friendlier friends, but still with her semi-strong personality.
The attack was somewhat of a nightmare for Chey. She has very bad nerves in certain situations, and the attack defiantly set them off that night. Mainly all she remembered was darkness. That would be explained for she had sat in her room, squeezing her eyes shut like there was no tomorrow. Not many people ever saw her in her panic stage. It usually didn't come out. Even after the attacks, she made it a point to come back.

Chey's voice filled the common room, but it was soon drowned out by the annoying buzz of students talking as they filled in the common room after dinner. She made an annoyed face, and then jumped off the couch quickly muttering to herself, "You'll never get him." That comment was for a girl who was talking, screeching actually, about a boy that she thought she was going to get with. Insanity. Poor girl, probably didn't know what was right, and what was left. After she finally got away from the common room, she entered her room to find her roommate studding. Study? Why study? Sitting down on her bed, she opened her mouth to sing, when she realized that her voice might annoy her roommate. She decided to respect the girl, so she walked back out into the common room where everyone was still filled in. Looking around, she found it completely impossible to sing around there. Slipping out the door, she looked around the corner in search of any hall monitors.
Chey walked around quietly, making her way up to the lost room. In there, she would be able to sing as much as she wanted, to her throat her for all she cared. She was very happy that she didn't get caught. She seemed to be avoiding all the hall monitors. Once or twice she practically ran into to the wall because she was looking over her shoulder just in case someone was following her. She had to stop herself from screaming when she ran into the wall the third time, this time hitting her forehead. It made quite a loud bang, and she was sure she would hear the rush of footsteps coming to investigate it. There were no footsteps, not even a teacher. This was definitely her night.
Finally, she reached the floor of the lost room, which was good for she was getting the urge to sing, and was afraid she might just start doing it right there. Her hand reached the doorknob, and she turned it. The cold metal was a relief, but it was returned by a tap on her shoulder. With a scrunched up face, she turned around to see a senior hall monitor standing in front of her. It was an awful site, really. The girl's hair was a complete mess, and it looked like she had dressed herself in the dark. Normally, she wasn't happy at all when she was caught like this, but she actually had to keep herself from laughing. Biting her lip she looked up at the girl. "Aw, come on can't you just let me off this time?" Chey asked. The girl shook her head, which reminded her much of a troll. She slowly made her way back to the common room, awaiting a new detention that would be in her presence tomorrow.
